Emanuel “Vinny” Silveira, 40, Revere-Raised Roofer; Funeral Monday in Chelsea

Emanuel V. Silveira, a roofer who grew up in Revere and was known to everyone as Vinny, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 5. He was 40. His funeral is Monday at the Carafa Family Funeral Home in Chelsea.

He was born Vincent Indorato in Boston and raised in Revere, the son of Kenneth K. Indorato of Revere and of Maria C. (Silveira) Bradley and her husband, Anthony, of Hopedale. For more than 15 years he worked as a roofer for CSM Building Corp. in Saugus. His family wrote that he loved his family and friends more than anything.

He leaves his wife, Gabriella M. Silveira of Lynn, and his children, Selena E. Silveira and Gabriel Silveira, both of Peabody, and Isaiah White of Framingham. He also leaves his sister Stephanie Dwyer and her husband, Andrew, of Chelsea; his sister Christina Indorato of Revere; his brother Justin Indorato of Waltham; his grandmother Leticia Giordano of New Hampshire; and his uncle Chris Souza, along with stepsiblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His grandparents Joseph Silveira, Vincent L. Indorato and Barbara O’Neil died before him.

Visiting hours are Monday, October 12, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Carafa Family Funeral Home, 389 Washington Avenue, Chelsea, followed by a funeral service there at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
