John Crocker, a hard-working family man his family called “the guy” you could always count on, died on Sunday, October 11, at his home, surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, October 18, at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home in Revere.
His family wrote that his greatest accomplishment was being a father, and that he was “Papa” to his grandchildren. He and his wife, Susan, were married for 44 years. She died before him, and his family wrote that her loss left him with a sense of emptiness, and that they take comfort in knowing the two are together again.
He was, in his family’s words, one of the hardest working guys out there: the guy you needed when a tire popped, when there was a mouse in the house, when you were hungry for a good steak dinner, or when life got tough. “He somehow always had a solution,” they wrote. He was happiest surrounded by his people, on sunny trips to Aruba and at dinners where he never let anyone else pay.
He leaves his children, Charro, Julian and Matt; his son-in-law and best friend, Jay; and six grandchildren, Jake, Sofie, Eloise, Max, Eli and Emmett. He also leaves his brother Scotty and his sister Brenda, many nieces and nephews, and his cat, Ruby.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 18, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere. Relatives and friends are invited.
