Robert Andrew “Bob” Salemi of Salisbury, who was born in Revere and graduated from Revere High School, died unexpectedly on the afternoon of Sunday, October 25. He was 62.
He was born in Revere on October 18, 1964, the son of Agripino Salemi and Dolores (Gomez) Salemi, both of whom died before him. After Revere High he went into construction and stayed in the trade his entire working life, retiring recently as a project manager at New England Finish Systems.
He was happiest on the water, boating and deep-sea fishing, and he liked to travel to new places. He played golf, skated in a recreational hockey league and followed the Bruins and the Patriots. He restored classic cars, and the one he was proudest of was a 1965 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser.
He leaves his daughter, Olivia Salemi, of Salem, New Hampshire; his brothers, Thomas Salemi and his wife, Nicole, of Amesbury, and Ray Salemi and his wife, Karen, of Framingham; his nephews Theo and Zeph Salemi of Amesbury; his nephew Dr. Jeff Salemi of Brooklyn, New York, and his niece Dr. Rachel Salemi of Madison, Wisconsin; and extended family and many friends.
A wake is Saturday, November 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport.
