On Monday, October 12, law enforcement took two individuals into custody. Jonathan Barbosa, age 19 from 1 Silk St. in Chelsea, faced multiple charges including receiving a stolen motor vehicle, resisting arrest on two separate occasions, failing to stop for police, a stop sign violation, leaving the scene of property damage, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a red light violation, speeding, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property exceeding $250, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and destruction of property exceeding $250. In a separate arrest, Miguel Maldonado, 30 years old and residing at 125 Chestnut St. in Chelsea, was taken into custody for assault and battery, witness intimidation, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
