Janet F. (Norton) Montminy, a former Revere resident, passed away on December 21 in Dracut following an extended illness from lung cancer. She was 68 years old. A 1962 graduate of Revere High School, Ms. Montminy was born and raised in Revere before relocating to Dracut four years prior to her death. Throughout much of her life, she worked as a homemaker for Intercity Corp. of the North Shore.
She was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Leona M. (Arsenault) Norton. Ms. Montminy is survived by her devoted sons John R. Montminy Jr. and his wife, Patricia A., of Mooresville, NC and Scott N. Montminy and his wife, Flora, of Pelham, NH. Her grandchildren include Brendan P., Ted F., and Erin G. Montminy of Mooresville, NC, as well as Rebecca R., Meghan F., Hannah M. and Evan N. Montminy of Pelham, NH. She is also survived by her former husband, John R. Montminy, of Dracut.
Services took place today, Wednesday, December 30 at 9:30 a.m. from the Porcella Funeral Home, 876 Winthrop Ave. (Beachmont) Revere, with a Funeral Mass following at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere. Relatives and friends were invited to attend. Private burial will occur at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
