Victor L. Falta, a Quality Control Inspector from Peabody, who had previously lived in Chelsea, passed away on February 1 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 83 years old. He was born in Chelsea, the son of the late Vincent and Eva (Pajak) Falta, and resided in Chelsea until relocating to Peabody seven years ago. For many years, he worked as a Quality Control Inspector, spending several years at Kontron Industries in Everett and later at Candella in Stoughton, where he retired in 1998. He was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II, achieving the rank of Seaman First Class, and was a long-standing member of the Polish American Veterans (PAV) in Chelsea. He was married to the late Catherine P. (Szymanski) Falta and is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Diane Falta of Peabody and Robert and Dee Falta of Saugus, as well as two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and William Dixon and Catherine and James Limardo, all of Peabody. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 6, at 9 a.m. from Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, located at 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and relatives and friends are invited to attend. His burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
