Chelsea, Massachusetts

Jean E. (Doucette) Connors, a New Hampshire resident who spent much of her early life in Chelsea, passed away Friday evening at Hackett Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester, New Hampshire, following a serious illness. She was 80.

Born in Everett, Ms. Connors was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Melanson) Doucette. Her childhood was spent in Everett, Malden and Chelsea, where she attended local schools. For the past 30 years she had resided in Derry, NH, though Chelsea remained her home for most of her formative years as she devoted herself to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Connors Sr. She leaves behind her children: Jeanne Snow of Lowell; Michael J. Connors Jr. and his wife, Sally, of Revere; the late Robert S. Connors; Judy Starke and her husband, Andy, of Andover; Kathy Connors of Chelsea; Danny Connors and his wife, Ann, of Everett; Patty Foster of Florida; and Michelle Richard of Everett. Her siblings include George Melanson, Robert Doucette of Spanaway WA, Marie Ardizzone of Texas, Richard Doucette of Largo, FL and the late Arlene Boucher.

She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Those who knew her held her in great affection.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday at St. Rose Church in Chelsea, with burial following at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home oversaw the arrangements. An online guestbook is available at www.WelshFuneralHome.com.
