On a beautiful spring Saturday, more than 100 volunteers gathered to enhance Chelsea and support environmental stewardship. The ninth annual Keep Chelsea Beautiful cleanup event aligned with the nation’s fortieth Earth Day celebration, spurring the completion of more than a dozen initiatives throughout Chelsea, including tree plantings and litter removal. City Manager Jay Ash, serving as a cleanup coordinator, expressed enthusiasm about the turnout, noting that “This is one of my favorite events of the year,”.
