Ed Fish

Chelsea, Massachusetts

More than 30 years ago, Chelsea purchased the Naval Hospital site back from the US Government. The Fish Construction Company was selected to demolish existing structures, construct new ones, and restore several of the historic buildings situated on the 50 acre waterfront property. Three decades have passed, and Admiral’s Hill has become the city’s most pristine and highly valued address. The construction work that Ed Fish oversaw at that location three decades ago reflects well on his character and abilities. Following a brief illness, Mr. Fish passed away last week. Throughout the modern history of Chelsea, which dates to 1624, few individuals have done more than Mr. Fish to establish it as an excellent place to call home. The durability of his work on Admiral’s Hill demonstrates both his construction expertise and his commitment to quality building standards. The Fish Family has our deepest sympathies regarding the passing of Ed Fish. Mr. Fish remained a devoted friend to Chelsea’s development, and his contributions to the city will be felt throughout the 21st Century.
