The Red Sox and the Patriots

Chelsea, Massachusetts

This season has been quite disappointing for the Red Sox. As the season winds down, the team evokes memories for those over 45 of the losing, ineffectual Red Sox squads from decades gone by. Such is life. Perhaps next year will be different. Last week, the Patriots managed to defeat Buffalo, yet nearly every Patriots supporter harbors concerns about the team’s defense, which resembles Swiss cheese in its abundance of holes. While Brady is capable of throwing numerous touchdowns, matchups against truly tough and exciting opponents will likely result in defeats. A championship-caliber offense requires a dependable defense to complement it. Tom Brady’s individual talents are insufficient to carry the Pats to the Superbowl on his own.
