This Saturday, Nov. 27, the Chelsea High School Hall of Fame will welcome nine former athletes and two coaches into its ranks. The ceremony takes place at the high school at 6:30 p.m., organized by the Alumni Club under the direction of Robert Bradley, Bob Fee, Athletic Director Frank DePatto, and Chairman Arnold Goodman. The 2010 inductee class includes athletes John Kursonis (1956), Chris Baker (1988), Reggie Wilkerson (1990), Kim Lanzillo (1995), Qasim ward (1997), Katrina Hill (2000), Denise Chappell (2000), Autumn Lopez (2000), and Sam Vega (1985), along with coaches Thomas Mhoney (soccer) and the late Jack Niven (basketball). The program will feature remarks from City Manager Jay Ash, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Thomas Kingston, and CHS Principal Joseph Mullaney. Presenting the inductees will be Jay Ash, Anthony Tiro, Dan Ruskiewicz, John Zimini, Robert Bradley, Frank DePatto, Joe Gaff, Leo Robinson, Ramona Foster, Tom Mahoney, and Richard Maronski, with Arnold Goodman presiding as master of ceremonies. The evening concludes with refreshments for attendees. The committee has prepared a four-star program designed for the inductees, their families, and friends.
