Longtime Copley Plaza Hotel Employee
Ruth M. (Janson) Jones, 83, of Everett died on April 18 at the Everett Rehab & Nursing Center.
She worked for many years at the Copley Plaza Hotel and was a devoted Red Sox fan. She is survived by her husband, Oscar D. Jones; her sister, Helen Long of Wisconsin; her sisters-in-law Lillian and Carol Jones of Chelsea, and Ted Juzwiski of Melrose; and brothers-in-law the late Mary Ellen and Shirley Jones.

Vietnam Veteran
Robert F. Roback, 63, of Otto, North Caroline passed away on April 23.
A Vietnam Veteran and son of the late Theodore Robak and Charlotte (Toce), he is survived by his wife, Janet Moulton; his children Eleanor and her husband Paul Chabot of Chelsea, Walter of New Hampshire, Kenneth and his wife Hannah of Florida, and Kristina of North Carolina; his siblings Sandra, Donald, Kenneth, and Susan Robak of Chelsea and Wayne of Florida; his niece Stephanie Frasier of Florida; and his grandchildren Raymond, Gabriel and Brendan Chabot of Chelsea.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.

Michael Hanlon
US Navy Retiree; Veteran of Desert Storm and Gulf War
Michael P. Hanlon of Chelsea, 53, died at home on April 16 with his family at his side.
A Chelsea native and son of Jacqueline (Dufour) and John Hanlon, Sr. of Chelsea, he attended local schools before joining the US Navy in 1982. He served during Desert Storm and the Gulf War, achieving the rank of Cryptologic Technician, First Class and earning numerous medals during his service. After 20 years with the US Navy, he retired.
He leaves behind his devoted children Stephanie Hanlon and her fiancé Tyler Davenport and Michael Hanlon, Jr., all of Alabama; his parents Jacqueline (Dufour) and John Hanlon Sr. of Chelsea; his siblings John, Donald and Daniel Hanlon and Sharon Marth; and the late Paul Hanlon, as well as numerous relatives and friends. In accordance with his wishes, burial at sea will occur at a future time. The Anthony Memorial / Frank A. Welsh and Sons Funeral Homes is directing arrangements.
