Monge joins an impressive group of women leaders—Susan Gallant, Janice Sikorski, Barbara Martin, Renee Caso-Griffin, Saritin Rizzuto, Joan Lanzillo-Hahesy, and Michelle Perez—who have worked within our city and made meaningful contributions to our residents through their participation in local organizations.
Gladys Vega, executive director of Chelsea Collaborative, whose contributions were recognized Sunday by the National Football League, was selected to introduce Elaine before the ceremony took place.
As a branch manager at Metro Credit Union, Monge has demonstrated strong commitment to improving the lives of Chelsea residents through her active participation with the Kiwanis Club of Chelsea.
This accomplishment holds particular significance as Elaine is believed to be the first woman of Latino descent to serve as president of the Kiwanis Club of Chelsea.
Taking on the presidency means following in the footsteps of capable leaders. Paul Swart, Elaine’s colleague at Metro Credit Union, served as president with distinction, and we are confident that Elaine will uphold the standard of excellence established by Paul and his predecessors in this leadership role.
