Endorses local candidates
Dear Editor:
On behalf of Chelsea Fire Fighters Local 937, I am writing to endorse Paul Murphy (District 1) and Christopher Cataldo (District 2) as candidates for Chelsea City Council.
Our role as firefighters is to protect and serve Chelsea’s residents. When we assess candidates for City Council, we seek those who share this commitment to our community. Given the city’s growing population, high-risk occupancies, ongoing construction projects, and rising violent crime, we need representatives dedicated to public safety and the public interest. We value candidates who support firefighters and recognize the importance of our work. Paul Murphy and Christopher Cataldo have both demonstrated their commitment to public safety and to the men and women who serve and protect Chelsea.
The upcoming election holds significant meaning for our city and its people, including our union members and their families. Both candidates have shown strong support for working families and will continue advocating for our members and the residents of Chelsea.
Local 937 and the PFFM, which represents more than 12,000 firefighters throughout Massachusetts, are pleased to endorse Paul Murphy and Christopher Cataldo for Chelsea City Council.
