Last Friday at dusk, the Mystic Tobin Bridge created a striking silhouette against the evening sky. The scene captured cranes actively unloading and depositing salt onto the Eastern Minerals salt pile, an operation running at full capacity due to current cold weather, icy road conditions, and snow. From a vantage point along Marginal Street, a photographer documented the cranes as they transferred salt from a large vessel that had recently arrived at the port.
