Timothy (Antle) Geary
Of New Hampshire, formerly of Chelsea
On January 26, Timothy M. (Antle) Geary of Londonderry, New Hampshire and formerly of Chelsea, passed away unexpectedly at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. He had reached the age of 56.
A Chelsea native who grew up in the area, Timothy was a former member of the Carpenters Union Local # 218.
Timothy is survived by his wife, Lisa Geary of Fairhaven. His son, the late U.S Marine LCpl Michael Erik Geary, died during active service in Afghanistan in 2010. His parents are Robert Antle and Georgeann of Billerica, along with the late Beverly (Maskell) Geary. His siblings include William (Antle) Geary and Susan of Londonderry, NH; Kim Florentino and Elmer of Weare, NH; Tina Iovino and Daniel of Billerica; Shannon Brandano and Michael of Malden; and Amy Geary Graf and Michael of Londonderry, NH. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.
Visiting Hours will take place at the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Tuesday, February 4 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. The Committal Service is private. Leo Walter O’Connell
Retired Truck Driver
Leo Walter O’Connell, age 82, died Saturday evening, January 25 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born and raised in Malden to the late Thomas F. and Florence A. (Lorgeree) O’Connell, Leo had called Chelsea home for more than 50 years. His career included work as a retired truck driver for the former Everett Furniture Store on Chelsea Street in Everett. He was a former member of the Moose Club, which operated in Chelsea at an earlier time.
Surviving him is his sister Agnes “Honey” Franson of New Hampshire. Deceased siblings include Donald O’Connell, Warren O’Connell, John O’Connell, Frances Generas, Margaret Webber, Dorothy King, Gertrude Jones and Alice LaRosa. A large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family also mourn his passing.
Services commence at the William R. Carafa & Son Home For Funerals, 389 Washington Ave., Chelsea on Thursday, January 30 at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols St., Chelsea at 10:30 a.m. Visitation at the Funeral Home will occur from 8:30 to 10 a.m. prior to the service. All relatives and friends are cordially invited. Following the Mass, interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Reed Mullins
Of Salem, Formerly of Chelsea
Reed S. Mullins, age 58 and formerly of Chelsea, died peacefully on January 19 in Danvers. His sister Florence and her husband Jay were present at his side.
Raised in Chelsea and educated in its schools, Reed began working as an order boy at Gallo’s Market, a longtime family establishment in Chelsea during his teenage years. Subsequently, he held positions at the Salvation Army Store in Saugus and worked for several years at Bally’s Health Club, where both patrons and colleagues held him in high regard and affection.
Those who knew him will treasure memories of his playful humor, his devotion to his animals—particularly his dog Bruno and cat Little Salem—his passion for gardening, bowling, card games, and bike excursions with Debby to nearby beaches.
Reed was the son of Lorraine Mullins Gallo of Port Charlotte, FL and the late George F. Mullins of Chelsea and Richmond Hill, NY. His seven siblings are Lynn Ann Mullins of Port Charlotte, FL; Frank Mullins of Saugus; Ronda Ponte of Port St John, FL; Lori Tivay of Revere; Robert Mullins of Peabody; Florence Repecko of Concord, NH; and Nancy Tomasik of Port Charlotte, FL. He was the twin of the late George J. Mullins of Chelsea and father of the late Ralph DiZoglio of East Boston. He is also survived by his cherished friend Debbie Farnham of Salem, plus numerous aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
