Last Thursday afternoon, the BHCC Chelsea Campus hosted a Black History Month celebration attended by students, staff and community members. The program included a presentation on Chelsea inventor Lewis Latimer and the work of the Chelsea-based Latimer Society, along with a dynamic spoken word performance featuring Chelsea resident Kathryn Woods in the role of Sojourner Truth. The event wrapped up with lunch served in the campus center.
