Police Investigating Drive-by Shooting

Chelsea, Massachusetts

Gunfire erupted on Chester Avenue during the early morning hours on Tuesday, startling residents in the area and leaving one man injured.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on April 15, Chelsea Police officers arrived at 86 Chester Ave. following reports of a shooting. Officers discovered a 52-year-old male at the scene with apparent bleeding from injuries sustained in the incident. Although the man refused initial medical treatment, he was subsequently transported via ambulance to MGH hospital in Boston for evaluation and care.

The identity of the victim remains undisclosed, and medical personnel have determined that his injuries are not life-threatening.

The investigation remains ongoing with Chelsea Detectives actively working the case. At present, no additional details have been released.
