On Sunday, June 1, the Chelsea Fire Department gathered at Fay Square outside City Hall for its annual Firefighter’s Memorial. The ceremony pays tribute to firefighters and retired firefighters who have died in the past year. This year’s observance honored Deputy Chief Charles Crowley and Firefighter John McCormack, along with their families.
Firefighter Kevin O’Keefe performed a solemn bagpipe tribute as part of the memorial service held in Fay Square.
The annual Chelsea Firefighter’s Memorial commemorates those members of the department lost during the preceding twelve months.
