Nine individuals and one initiative will receive honors at the 13th Annual “All-Chelsea Awards” ceremony scheduled for Monday, Oct. 27. These recipients have made meaningful contributions to the lives of Chelsea residents while strengthening the city’s standing in the community.
The centerpiece of this year’s program is Superintendent Mary Bourque’s selection for the “Lifetime Achievement” award.
Recognition for contributions made over the past year extends to eight additional honorees across various categories:
- Public Official – Senator Sal DiDomenico
- Community Organization – Fr. Edgar Gutierrez-Duarte
- Business – Renee Caso-Griffin
- Resident under 21 – Jomaira Moreno
- Resident 21-64 – Lisa Santagate
- Resident 65 and older – Jack Fraser
- Contributing Stakeholder – Arthur T. Demoulas
- Project – Chelsea Empty Bowls
City Manager Jay Ash, who coordinates the All-Chelsea Awards (ACA) Committee, observed that . He emphasized that these honorees exemplify the broader commitment demonstrated by many toward advancing Chelsea and meeting resident needs.
City Councillor Leo Robinson, himself a past recipient, reflected on the growing challenge in making selections, noting that
The work of identifying winners involves the ACA Committee, composed of residents and representatives from government, business, and community organizations. A separate twenty-five-member ACA Selection Committee—drawn from the broader committee and community leadership—evaluated over fifty submissions through a secret ballot process governed by established by-laws designed to ensure fairness and impartiality regardless of political considerations.

The ceremony takes place at City Hall’s City Council Chambers on Oct. 27, beginning at 6 p.m., with live broadcast on Chelsea Community Cable Television. Community members are welcome to attend.
