Jose Javier Mejia, the inventor and builder of this unusual contraption, was spotted riding it this week on Eden Street. According to Mejia, he constructed his first “two story bike” four years ago and used it regularly until it was stolen. He has since refined the design and created a new version. Mejia explained that he frequently takes it to Revere Beach, where it attracts considerable attention from passersby. He added that he has designed a double-seater, two-story bike that he plans to weld together later this summer, allowing him and his friends to ride together. We look forward to seeing that creation!
