COMPLAINT LEADS TO ARREST
A man who initially sought to file a complaint with police discovered he was actually the aggressor in an incident involving an alleged stabbing with a broken bottle.
At approximately 1:45 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, a CPD officer patrolling near Bellingham Square was flagged down by a male subject. The subject appeared upset and indicated that several individuals walking toward the cab stand had been involved in an altercation with him.
When the officer and additional units approached the parties at the cab stand, they found a male bleeding from the left bicep area. Upon questioning, they learned that the original complainant had stabbed this man in the bicep using a broken bottle. Witnesses indicated the confrontation had stemmed from a dispute over a female present in the area.
The subject was taken into custody and the victim was transported to Whidden Hospital.

ROBBER ON BIKE ARRESTED
Officers responded to a radio call on August 22 at approximately 2:33 p.m. regarding a street robbery near the intersection of Orange Street. A Chelsea detective reviewed city surveillance footage and identified a male subject matching the description riding a bicycle in the vicinity.
Additional detectives responded to the robbery location and examined other available video from the area, allowing them to identify a suspect from the images. The same individual was subsequently observed wearing identical clothing and riding the same bicycle before being arrested.

EXPOSED HIMSELF TO WOMEN
Officers on foot patrol between Bellingham Square and the Chelsea District Court House observed two females on Second Street at approximately 10:56 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23. The officers noticed the women appeared visibly upset as they passed a male who was exposing himself while urinating on the street. The male was arrested at the scene and was subsequently found to have outstanding warrants from Chelsea District Court for Larceny.
Jose Burgos-Murillo, 59, of 14 Bloomingdale St., was charged with indecent exposure and one warrant.
