Donald Dickerman
Former owner of Tap Royal Café and Tudor Garage in Chelsea
On June 20, Donald Dickerman of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who previously lived in Chelsea, died.
In Chelsea, he had owned both Tap Royal Café and Tudor Garage.
Born to Benjamin and Ruth L (Alpert) Dickerman, he was the brother of Allan I. Dickerman and had been the companion of Frances Merlino for 45 years.
Florida will host his services. Those wishing to honor his memory may contribute to Chelsea Jewish Life Care, located at 17 Lafayette Avenue, Chelsea.

Robert ‘Bob’ Spinney, Sr.
US Postal Service retiree
A lifelong Chelsea resident, Bob passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 14, at age 85.
He completed his education at local schools and earned his diploma from Chelsea High School in the class of 1950. He married Margaret, his longtime sweetheart, in August 1952. Bob was subsequently drafted into the US Army, where he served with distinction during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge, he and Margaret settled in Chelsea and started their family.
For 38 years, Bob worked as a postal letter carrier serving Revere and Chelsea. During his youth, he boxed as an amateur, though he was fundamentally a kind, gentle, and compassionate person. He treasured traveling with Margaret and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Those who knew him appreciated his humor and his talent for entertaining people with jokes and stories.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Barbara Cameron and Florence Brinster. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Margaret (Kashian) Spinney of Chelsea. His surviving children and their spouses include Cheryl Lombardi and her husband Robert of Peabody, Robert F. Spinney, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Chelsea, and Joanne Simonelli of Lynnfield and her late husband Louis Simonelli. His grandchildren are Michael Lombardi and his wife Mia, Lauren Lombardi, Alexandra and Andrea Simonelli, and Robert F. Spinney, III. He was the great-grandfather of Avery. Numerous loving nieces and nephews also survive him.
The Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home in Chelsea handled funeral arrangements. Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett was the site of interment.
