City’s Façade and Signage Program to Kick Off on July 12

Chelsea, Massachusetts

Chelsea’s downtown will undergo façade and signage improvements, with the city launching the initiative at a kick-off meeting scheduled for July 12.

Downtown business owners, property owners, and other interested community members are welcome to attend this meeting, where they will learn details about the program and meet Nathalia Hermida.

Throughout the summer months, Hermida will offer complimentary design services to assist downtown property owners with their signage and façade improvement projects. At the July 12 gathering, she will explain her design methodology, outline the types of assistance available, and describe how property owners can request her services.

Beyond responding to inquiries that emerge from the meeting, Hermida intends to reach out directly to certain properties that have been identified as candidates for improvement. Those interested in participating who are unable to attend should reach out to Downtown Coordinator Mimi Graney at [email protected].

Both English and Spanish language design consultations with Hermida will be offered.

The meeting will be held Thursday, July 12, at 8:30 a.m. in the third-floor Committee Room of Chelsea City Hall.
