At a ceremony held in Courtroom 1 of the Chelsea Court on Weds., June 27, the Honorable Matthew J. Machera was officially sworn in as the new First Justice of the Chelsea District Court. The Honorable Stacey Fortes, Robert A. Brennan, and Paul C. Dawley were present to applaud Machera during the Oath Of Office ceremony. Machera had previously served as the acting First Justice, and his new role became official on that date.
