Encore Boston Harbor has unveiled plans for an upscale steakhouse within its $2.6 billion resort, which will offer waterfront views and New England’s most distinctive steak program.
The establishment, called Rare Steakhouse, will showcase an exceptional collection of rare bourbons and scotches alongside carefully selected local distilled spirits and craft beers. Wine Director Miklos Katona at Encore Boston Harbor has assembled a curated wine list highlighting prestigious vintages from internationally recognized producers.
Executive Chef Taylor Kearney will oversee operations at Rare Steakhouse, where diners will have access to premium Japanese Wagyu selections. These include Kobe beef from Hyogo Prefecture sourced exclusively from 100 percent Tajima Cattle, Ideue from Kagoshima Prefecture, and the distinctive Sanuki Olive Beef from the Seto Inland Sea. Additional offerings feature American Wagyu from Snake River Farms in Idaho, with several premium cuts provided through an exclusive arrangement with Pat LaFreida Meat Purveyors in New Jersey.
The restaurant will employ advanced dry-aging technology on-site to prepare its steaks.

closely with international and domestic partners to develop the steak programs
at our resorts in Las Vegas and Macau,” explained Warren Richards, Executive Director of Food and Beverage. “These efforts today will result in the most
unique steak program in New England. Rare Steakhouse will be the only
certified end-user of authentic Kobe beef in New England. We are thrilled
to provide guests with this exclusive dining experience at Encore Boston Harbor.”
The dining experience will emphasize seasonal, market-driven preparations using locally sourced produce, dairy products, and fresh seafood caught by day boats. The beverage program will feature sought-after wines and vintages from global producers, carefully selected to complement the menu offerings.
Designer Vicente Wolf, known for his work on the original SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas, created the interior for Rare Steakhouse. Guests will encounter a bright, welcoming bar and dining area with both indoor and outdoor patio seating, plus secluded private dining spaces. The restaurant features panoramic views of the Mystic River and Harborwalk along its perimeter.
Operating seven days a week for dinner service, Rare Steakhouse represents one of 15 dining and lounge venues at Encore Boston Harbor. The resort will offer options ranging from fine dining to casual restaurants, including several previously announced establishments:
•Sinatra, a Forbes Travel Guide Award-winning Italian restaurant operating at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.
•Fratelli, a casual Italian eatery created by North End entrepreneurs Frank DePasquale and Nick Varano.
•Mystique, an Asian-fusion restaurant and lounge featuring Mystic River views, developed by Big Night Entertainment Group.
•Memoire, an elegant nightclub overlooking the casino floor, also developed by Big Night Entertainment Group.
