Superintendent David DiBarri announced that the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) has invited Northeast Metro Tech into a feasibility study for a new building project.
The school is housed in a building that is more than 50-year-old and needs educational, capital and maintenance improvements.
As a state agency focused on helping communities develop educationally-appropriate, flexible, sustainable and cost-effective public school facilities, the MSBA extended an invitation to Northeast to enter the feasibility study phase and examine potential solutions to the identified issues.
During this feasibility study phase, Northeast and the MSBA will select a project manager and designer to assess the existing building. Following completion of that assessment, Northeast will submit an application to the MSBA’s building project reimbursement grant program.
Superintendent DiBarri expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating: “fblikebutton_button” “We’re thrilled to have been invited by the MSBA into the feasibility study phase for our building project.
