The Pupusa Fiesta took place on Sunday with substantial community participation, drawing crowds that formed lines around the block. Chelsea Prospers, the City’s community initiative, organized the event in partnership with several local restaurants to honor the pupusa and its cultural significance to Chelsea’s Latino residents. At the celebration, Julio Flores from El Santaneco Restaurant was photographed holding infant Leonel, who wore a “Got Pupusas?” shirt specially chosen for the occasion.
