The Chelsea Community Connection Coalition invites the community to attend its 3rd Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser, taking place today at 5 p.m. at the Williams School.
The event has grown into one of Chelsea’s most well-attended fundraisers, featuring hand-painted soup bowls created by dedicated volunteers. Guests will have the opportunity to select a bowl and enjoy a warm, satisfying soup.
The Coalition provides vital assistance to families raising children under 18 and relies on fundraising to continue its mission. This year’s Empty Bowls event represents the organization’s primary fundraising initiative.
Long-time Chelsea residents recognize the value of having Carolyn Boumila-Vega serve as co-director of the Coalition and lead organizer of this successful fundraiser. Over many years, Carolyn has demonstrated a strong commitment to philanthropy and community improvement. Her dedication mirrors that of her husband, Juan Vega, whose work with Centro Latino has made it a cornerstone resource for Chelsea residents. Through her involvement with numerous community initiatives, Carolyn has consistently worked toward bettering the lives of those throughout the city.
Community members are urged to visit the Williams School this evening to support the Coalition’s efforts alongside City Manager Jay Ash and other residents committed to helping Carolyn and the organization achieve its important objectives.
