On Sunday, June 8, at 3 p.m., Chelsea High School will hold its graduation ceremony at Memorial Stadium.
Milica Ivanis serves as this year’s valedictorian and will be attending Yale University, while Victor Le holds the position of salutatorian and has chosen to attend Swarthmore College.
Leading the graduating class are President Mark Figueroa, Vice President Brenda Romero, Secretary Thi Le, Treasurer We’aam Arman, and Historian Ivana Valentin.
CHS is sending three POSSE Scholars into the world this year. The program offers full-ride scholarships to students from urban schools, covering complete tuition at a selection of private partner institutions across the country. Beyond financial support, participants receive comprehensive preparation and ongoing assistance throughout their academic careers.
Among this year’s recipients are Mark Figueroa and Jailene Paz, both heading to Centre College in Kentucky, as well as Robert Templehof, who will attend Denison University in Ohio.
Furthermore, 13 students have been selected to receive the Simboli Family College Award. This brings the cumulative total of award recipients to more than 100 since the Simboli Family began sponsoring the scholarship.
Behind the award program is ACS Development Company, owned by the Simboli Family. The company is currently developing the new FBI Regional Headquarters, located near CHS.
