City Manager Jay Ash led the delegation that traveled to Denver for the award, and the reunion at Tuesday’s event allowed them to reflect on what stands as one of Chelsea’s greatest achievements. Winning the All-America Award represented a remarkable accomplishment—making Chelsea the sole New England municipality to receive this prestigious recognition.
Jay Ash’s leadership proved instrumental in bringing this honor to the city. The significance of his role was underscored when Molly Baldwin, who directs ROCA, the nationally recognized model program, presented Ash with a special plaque at Tuesday’s ceremony. The plaque featured the front page of The Chelsea Record’s All-America Award edition.
