For the past two weeks, a film crew from the television program COPS has been accompanying Chelsea Police Department officers on their shifts. The production will continue filming across the Chelsea, Revere and Lynn Police Departments throughout an eight-week period.
Police Chief Brian Kyes authorized the collaboration to demonstrate the caliber of work performed by the Chelsea Police in circumstances that can sometimes prove challenging.
“We also want showcase how we emphasize community engagement and outreach as a means of accomplishing our mutual objectives,” he noted.
