Larry Dahlquist
Of Billerica, formerly of Chelsea
On November 1, Larry V. Dahlquist died at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington following a brief illness. He was 67 years old.
A Fall River native who grew up in Chelsea, Larry was one of seven children of Lawrence V. and Atheldra (Smith) Dahlquist.
Larry’s education took place in Chelsea Schools, and he spent many years working as a Boston Independent Taxi Driver. Though he had been a longtime Chelsea resident, he moved to Billerica with family 15 years ago. Throughout his life, Larry had a passion for home gardening and landscaping.
His parents and two brothers, Gary and Wayne E. Dahlquist, predeceased him. Surviving him are his three sisters: Linda Cotto of Peabody, Gail Michalski and her husband Walter of Billerica, and Darlene Dahlquist of Chelsea; one brother, Keith Dahlquist of Revere; his sister-in-law Evelyn Dahlquist of Chelsea; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering and visiting hours will be held at the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea on Friday November 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Home is fully handicap accessible with ample parking opposite the building. Irene Erickson
Of Chelsea
Irene J. (MacDonald) Erickson of Chelsea passed away on September 28.
She was the devoted wife of the late Lawrence F. Erickson, Sr.; beloved mother of Lawrence F. Erickson, Jr. and his wife Lee of Hampstead, NH and Gail Erickson of Cape Coral, Florida; sister of the late Alice Higganbotham, Anna VanLaethem, Harold, William and Hugh MacDonald, Ruth Sartorelli, Katherine Baker, Margaret Geranian, Shirley MacDonald and Marion Williamson; cherished grandmother of Raymond Erickson, Jill Luczkow, Jared and Erik Saunders and Chad and Lauren Erickson; and great-grandmother of Morgan Erickson, Mikaylah Saunders, Ty and Shane Luczkow, Samuel, Vivian and Natalie Erickson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
On October 1, funeral services were held with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Erik Charles Saunders
Of Dunedin, Florida
Erik Charles Saunders, age 37, of Dunedin, Florida was born on July 8, 1978 in Chelsea, MA. After struggling with addiction for many years, he lost that battle on Friday, October 30th, 2015.
Erik was the son of Gail Erickson of Cape Coral, Florida and William Saunders of Haverhill, Massachusetts. He was the father of Mikaylah Saunders, age 12, of Dover, NH, and brother of Jared Saunders and his wife Lauren Saunders of Haverhill, MA. He was the grandson of the late Ralph Saunders of Chelsea, MA and Barbara Saunders of Quincy, MA, as well as the grandson of the late Irene and Lawrence Erickson of Chelsea, MA.

Wilson Bramwell Tuffin
Chelsea always remained close to his heart
Wilson Bramwell Tuffin of Acton, formerly of Chelsea, died on October 26 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was 84 years old.
Born in Chelsea on May 19, 1931, Wilson was the son of Claude and Mina Blanford Kearley Tuffin, who had immigrated to the United States from Herring Neck, a small fishing village in Newfoundland, Canada. Throughout his life, Chelsea and Newfoundland held special places in his heart.
During the 1950’s, Wilson left Tufts University to volunteer for service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and received an honorable discharge with the rank of Corporal E-4.
From 1971 to 1996, Wilson served as President and CEO of NMI in Concord, where he was known for championing his fellow employees.
Beyond his family commitments, Wilson was devoted to his faith and community, dedicating himself to numerous causes including independence for people with disabilities, assistance to local families in need, and cultural and historic preservation. He served on the board of Emerson Hospital for many years and was named National Philanthropist of the Year by the Easter Seals in 1989.
Those who knew Wilson were impressed by his optimistic spirit, generosity and deep concern for others. A devoted Boston Red Sox fan, he attended games at Fenway Park across nine different decades, including 40 consecutive home openers with close friends. He cherished his morning coffee group at Donelan’s in Acton.
As an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, friend and colleague, Wilson will be remembered warmly and with deep appreciation.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Janice Marie Goeke, whom he met while both worked at Nuclear Metals Inc. (NMI) in Concord. He leaves behind his daughter Amalie; his son Michael and daughter-in-law Michelle; and his son John Barry and daughter-in-law Nikki. Five grandchildren—Anastasia Ellsworth Tuffin, 11; Wilson Bramwell Tuffin II, 9; Giles Barry Tuffin, 7; Lilly Kearley Tuffin, 6; and Jack Ranieri Tuffin, 3—were the lights of his life.
