The Chelsea City Council deserves recognition for its unanimous passage of a Wage Theft Ordinance, making it the first such council in the state to adopt this significant legislation.
This ordinance directly addresses wage theft and related employer violations, including failure to pay minimum wage, overtime violations, and unlawful wage withholding.
