At Chelsea High School on Saturday, May 28, Leonardo Ampuero performed in the center of the stage, dancing with his hat alongside teammates in a traditional Bolivian Caporales dance. The event was the 10th annual Encuentro Folklorico Latino Americano Festival, which drew an audience exceeding 100 people to witness performances by three musical groups representing Bolivia, Guatemala, and Mexico. Revenue generated from concessions benefited Chelsea residents in need.
