A tragedy of the first order struck Chelsea when Roland Palacios, a 17 year-old Chelsea High School student, was shot and killed on Suffolk Street last week. Detectives from Chelsea Police and investigators from state police are working to solve this homicide. While the Chelsea Police have chosen not to comment publicly on their investigation, it is likely that witness interviews have taken place and that additional information may yet emerge from those hesitant to come forward due to safety concerns. Forensic evidence may also play a role in the case. The police department is asking anyone with knowledge of the shooting death of Roland Palacios to contact authorities.
