The 11th annual “Chelsea Reads” Celebration will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Chelsea Public Library, 569 Broadway. Sarah Gay, director of the Chelsea Public Library, and Martha Bocksenbaum, children’s librarian, are inviting all Chelsea families to participate in the event, which will feature hands-on family activities and crafts, special guest storytellers, performances, and music. Attendees will enjoy the festivities while every child receives a backpack and free books, available while supplies last. The celebration honors National Family Literacy Month and will include City Manager Tom Ambrosino among its celebrity readers.
