Sen. Sal DiDomenico will host the Annual DiDomenico Foundation St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on Friday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Bunker Hill Knights of Columbus Hall in Charlestown.
The celebration has become the official start to the St. Patrick’s Day season in the region. Attendees will enjoy a traditional Irish dinner alongside Irish music, step dancing performances, comedy from Tony V, bagpipes, and videos from elected officials. The evening will also feature the annual Golden Shamrock Award presentation honoring a community leader. More than 75 federal, state, and local elected officials are expected to participate, with many sharing their favorite St. Patrick’s Day jokes. Among the confirmed attendees are Gov. Charlie Baker, Congressman Mike Capuano, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Attorney General Maura Healey, Senate President Stan Rosenberg, Everett Mayor Carlo DeMaria, Cambridge Mayor Denise Simmons, Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan, Middlesex County Sheriff Peter Koutoujian, and numerous others. A special surprise guest will also be featured. The event has quickly emerged as one of the most anticipated St. Patrick’s Day traditions in Greater Boston.
Tickets and additional information are available by calling (617) 387-3327. All proceeds benefit The DiDomenico Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to high school students and supports a toy drive during the holiday season for domestic violence and homeless shelters throughout the Greater Boston area.
