Assistant City Clerk Patty Lewis administered the oath to approximately 10 new firefighters during a swearing-in ceremony at the Chelsea Fire Department (CFD) that marked a significant occasion for the department. The event also included the promotion of two firefighters.
With these additions, the CFD now has 102 members on its roster. According to Chief Len Albanese, “fblikebutton_button” the influx of new personnel represents a strengthening of the department’s capacity that the organization has not experienced since the receivership period.
