ROBBERY ON BROADWAY
Officers responded to 165 Walnut St. on Dec. 22 at 5:20 p.m. following a report of an armed robbery that had already occurred. When they arrived at the scene, they found both the victim and the alleged suspect standing in front of the building. According to the victim’s account, the suspect had stolen $200 after he withdrew cash from the ATM at Chelsea Bank on Broadway. The suspect offered a different version of events, stating that the victim had purchased drugs from him and was unhappy with their quality.
Jose Rivera, 32, of 11 Congress Ave., was charged with unarmed robbery.
REFUSED SERVICE AT BAR
Officers were called to the Spanish Falcon Club at 158 Broadway on Dec. 22 at 10:49 p.m. to respond to a reported fight occurring outside the establishment.
Upon arrival, officers observed security personnel engaged with a group of men, two of whom appeared to be intoxicated. Security explained to the officers that these two intoxicated individuals had been creating a disturbance after being denied entry because of their level of intoxication.
Despite being asked multiple times to leave, the men grew increasingly aggressive toward staff members. When officers spoke with them, it became clear they were frustrated about being refused entry and wanted to continue drinking elsewhere. The men ignored officers’ instructions to leave and began acting loud and disruptive. One of the men was arrested after physically resisting officers during the arrest process. His brother, the second man, also refused to leave and became hostile, leading to his arrest following a physical altercation.
David Garcia, 24, of 141 Marlborough St., was charged with disorderly conduct.
Kevin Garcia, 21, of Lynn, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.
