On Monday, July 16, Gallery 456 held its opening reception, marking the inaugural exhibition for this City-sponsored gallery located in the former Salvation Army Store. John Winam identified himself in one of the historic Chelsea Record photographs on display, taken by Arnie Jarmak. During the 1970s, Jarmak served as a staff photographer for the Record, documenting thousands of photographs depicting the city and its residents. The exhibition will continue to be shown in Chelsea through September, before traveling to Boston College later in the year.
