The Chelsea Walk is about to get a splash of color this weekend, but only if community members show up to lend a hand.
GreenRoots and local artist Sylvia Lopez Chavez are organizing two Paint Days for the popular green space nestled within the Broadway business district. The events will take place Friday and Saturday, each running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to GreenRoots Director Roseann Bongiovanni, “We hope everyone will join GreenRoots and artist Silvia Lopez Chavez to transform the Chelsea Walk into an area we will all be proud of,”
The transformation of the Chelsea Walk will continue into the summer with Phase II, which includes the addition of furniture and lighting. Phase III, slated to follow, will feature art installations on the Walk’s ceiling.
