Chelsea Cultural Council Grants to Support Art and Cultural Projects

The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), a state agency, has awarded the Chelsea Cultural Council $21,900 to support public initiatives that advance access, education, diversity and excellence in the arts, humanities and sciences.

On Monday, September 24, members of the Chelsea Cultural Council will be on hand in the lobby of the Williams Building at 180 Walnut Street between 2-6 p.m. to answer questions about the grant application process and requirements.

Individuals, schools and organizations throughout Chelsea are invited to submit proposals for grant funding. Eligible projects span a broad range of cultural and artistic endeavors—from performances and residencies in schools to field trips, exhibits, festivals, cultural workshops and lectures. All funded projects must take place between January, 2019 and December 31, 2019 and must benefit residents of Chelsea.

Applicants must submit their completed Online Application by October 15, 2018.
