In their season opener, the Chelsea Pride Gladiators seventh and eighth grade squad dominated Peabody with a 62-0 victory on Sunday at Bishop Fenwick High School. Leading the offensive charge was Bryan Cedeno, who accumulated 169 rushing yards and four touchdowns, including one defensive score when he returned a fumble 50 yards to the end zone. Jonathan Vazquez made an immediate impact, taking an interception 90 yards for a touchdown on the opening possession by Peabody, and added two more touchdowns on the ground. The Chelsea offensive line performed exceptionally well throughout the contest. On the defensive side, Kevin Rosado recorded 11 tackles to pace the unit. The Gladiators will face Beverly next Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Hurd Stadium.
