	Whipple, George Chandler		Born in 1866, died in 1924. President of Boston Society of Civil Engineers, professor of Sanitary Engineering at Harvard, and Sanitary Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and secretary of the School of Public Health at Harvard. He was sent as Major and Deputy Commissioner to Russia by the American Red Cross. He was the author of several books on state sanitation, fresh water biology and typhoid fever.
