Lela Rose Dore was a longtime waitress at Pressman’s Deli in Chelsea who passed away on October 27 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, where she had been receiving supportive care for the past two years. She was 76 years old.
Born November 5, 1932 in Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Dore was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Terhorst. After completing her education in Denver, she moved to Chelsea as a young housewife and mother. For many years, she worked as a waitress for Pressman’s Deli in Chelsea. A brief relocation to Vermont preceded her return to Chelsea 10 years ago. She was the longtime companion of the late Joseph “Buddy” Babson and the mother of the late Alan Dore.
Mrs. Dore is survived by her loving daughter Donna Troisi and her husband, Stanley, of Chelsea; cherished grandchildren Amanda Troisi and Michael Troisi and his wife, Melissa; and adored great-grandchildren Jacquilyne, Kenneth and Victoria Baker. In accordance with her wishes, funeral services were held privately. The Anthony Memorial Funeral Home in Chelsea handled the arrangements.
