Maria Flores

Maria Flores, who grew up in Chelsea and worked for years as a referral coordinator in the gastroenterology department at Atrius Health’s Kenmore practice in Boston, died on August 10, 2026. She was 32.

She was born on December 17, 1993 in Neptune City, New Jersey, one of seven siblings, and was raised in Chelsea, where she met her husband, Roberto Flores, and started her own family. Colleagues at Atrius counted on her as the steady hand of the department.

She read constantly, baked sourdough for her family, and kept track of every birthday in her circle.

She leaves her husband, Roberto; her children, Scarlett and Elias; her parents; and her six brothers and sisters.

Visiting hours were held August 20 at the Paul Buonfiglio and Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, with a funeral service there on August 21 and burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
