Victoria Perez, a basketball player at Chelsea High, earned MVP honors at the Commonwealth Conference All-Star Game, which took place Sunday at Presentation of Mary Academy in Methuen. The West team, guided by Chelsea High coach Matt LaBranche, fell to the East 45-40 in overtime. Perez contributed 12 points along with four rebounds and eight assists in the contest. Joining Perez from Chelsea were forwards Lindsey Fuentes and Tatiana Perez and center Shuly Sejour.
At the All-Star luncheon, Chelsea High received its Commonwealth Conference championship trophy. Coach LaBranche was honored with the CAC Coach of the Year Award. Shuly Sejour accepted her conference MVP trophy, while Victoria Perez and Tatiana Fontes were presented with All-Star trophies. The Chelsea High girls basketball team finished the season as conference “Champions.” The awards were displayed by Victoria Perez, Shuly Sejour, Tatiana Fontes and Coach Matt LaBranche at the Commonwealth Athletic Conference All-Star luncheon.
