Violet (Torigian) Lamberti of Revere, who worked in Delta Air Lines’ Ticket by Mail department and was a regular at the Revere Senior Center, died October 19 with her family around her. She was 98.

She was born in Lowell on December 21, 1927, to Marcus Torigian and Mary (Sarmanian) Torigian. She started out at AT&T before going to Delta, where the job let her travel widely. Long after retiring she still got together every year with other Delta retirees.

Her family describes her as a woman of deep faith who was quick to help anyone who needed it. In Revere she was active at the Senior Center and bowled in the Revere Senior Bowling League. She played bingo every week with friends at Immaculate Conception, St. Mary’s and St. Anthony’s churches, belonged to the Red Hats, liked an occasional trip to the casino to play the slots, and went with her mother and relatives to the yearly Armenian picnics in Maynard.

Her husband, John Vincent Lamberti, retired from the Revere Fire Department, died before her, as did her brother Carl Mosko and her sister Anna Barsomian. She leaves her daughter, Janice Loomis of Revere; her granddaughter, Michelle Loomis of Malden; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Friday, October 23, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere, with a prayer service there at noon. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
