Championship games for the Chelsea Youth Basketball League will take place Saturday at the Jordan Boys and Girls Club as the playoffs conclude.
In Senior League semifinal action, the Celtics topped the Heat with a 45-26 victory. Carlos Vasquez led the Celtics with 15 points, while Malcolm Norman contributed 11. For the Heat, Steven Lacy and Giovanni Ricardo Vincente each scored 10 points.
The Lakers defeated the Knicks 33-27 in the other semifinal matchup. Jason Barrientos and Angelin Gutierrez both scored 11 points for the Lakers, with Tom Melanson adding 10 points.
Muthtar Mohammed paced the Knicks with 12 points, and Ellison Cruz added 10 points.
According to League president Michelle Lopez, the Junior League championship game is scheduled to start at 9 a.m., with the Senior League championship game following at 10 a.m.
